Brodhead - Richard “Dunk” McKinney, age 77, of Albany, formerly of Brodhead, passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2013, at the Monroe Manor Nursing Home, Monroe, WI.  He was born on August 6, 1935 in Janesville, WI, the son of Wayne and Doris (Bernstein) McKinney.  He married Phyllis J. Royce on December 9, 1952 in Footville, WI.

Richard had worked for Warner Brake and Clutch Co. of Beloit, WI.  He enjoyed ice fishing, playing cards, the Cubs, Brewers, Packers, watching old movies and especially his grandkids.

He is survived by his wife Phyllis, Monroe; five children, Suzi Clark, Albany, Mike (Sue) McKinney, Madison, Kevin (Karen) McKinney, Beloit, Brian (Shari) McKinney, Delavan, Tim McKinney, Janesville; three brothers, Jack McKinney, Brodhead, Jim (Shirley) McKinney, Grand Coteau, LA, George McKinney, Clearwater, FL; nine grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, two grandsons, Bobby Armstrong and Zach McKinney, two brothers, Bill and Mack, and his dogs, Buddy, Snoopy and Jasper.

We are so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. I am so sorry that as a nephew of Dunk, so much time has passed and I haven't seen the McKinney side of my family in too long.
