Brodhead - Wayne E. Creasey, age 86, of Monroe, formerly of Brodhead, passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at the Monroe Manor Nursing Home, Monroe. He was born on September 11, 1926 in Sauk County, WI, the son of LeRoy and Bessie (Stowell) Creasey. His first marriage was to Evelyn Slinde on August 27, 1949. She passed away in May of 1986. He then married Betty Williams on March 18, 1989. She passed away on August 4, 2012.
Wayne had worked for Highway Trailers of Stoughton and Knight Manufacturing of Brodhead until his retirement. He was a World War II Army Veteran and enjoyed woodworking, fishing and reading Westerns.
He is survived by two daughters, Lois (Curtus) Walling, Baraboo, WI, Karen (Melvin) Rouse, Beloit, WI; stepchildren, Linda (Wayne) Record, TN, Larry Washburn, AR, Gary (Diana) Williams, Silver Springs, NV, Rodney Williams, Edgerton, WI, Skip Williams, Brodhead, WI, Eddie (Ruth) Bennett, Monroe, WI; a sister, Hazel Fuller, Beloit, WI; a sister-in-law, Myra Creasey, Arena, WI; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents, wives, two great-grandchildren, Korbin and Asher Moe, and two brothers, Pearl and Robert Creasey.
Memorial services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, March 1, 2013, at the D.L. NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, BRODHEAD, WI. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until time of services. A luncheon will follow the service at the Bank of Brodhead.
