Allen Myhre

Allen Myhre, age 82, of Brodhead, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories, unwavering love for his family, and a legacy of hard work and kindness. Allen was born on February 7, 1944, in Monroe, Wisconsin, to Purdell and Nila Myhre. He grew up with a deep appreciation for family, faith, and the values of rural life that would guide him throughout his years. On June 10, 1967, Allen married the love of his life, Sandra "Sandy" Keehn. Together they built a life centered on love, family, and dedication to one another. Their marriage was a lasting example of commitment and partnership. Allen spent his life as a farmer, a profession that reflected his strong work ethic, perseverance, and love of the land. Farming was more than a livelihood—it was a way of life that he embraced with pride. He also found great joy in attending the 4-H Fair, where he enjoyed supporting local youth and celebrating the traditions of the farming community. He loved being a leader for the dairy kids and was very proud to have his cattle shown at the 4-H Fair. Above all else, Allen treasured his family. He is survived by his loving children, Patti Myhre-Flister and Greg Myhre; Greg's spouse, Dianne Myhre; his beloved grandchildren, Genna, Hannah, Aaron, Isaiah, and Ayla; and his cherished nieces and nephews, Gwen, Kim, Nicole, Kendall, and Kent. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. Allen was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sandy; his son, Jeff Myhre; his brother, Jerry Myhre; his parents, Purdell and Nila Myhre; and his parents-in-law, Howard and LaVon Keehn. Allen's life was one of quiet strength, devotion to family, and dedication to the farming community. His gentle spirit, steadfast love, and countless acts of kindness will remain in the hearts of those who knew him. Though he is gone from our sight, his memory will continue to live on in the stories shared, the traditions carried forward, and the love he planted in the hearts of his family. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Allen's life during a visitation on July 31st from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at DL Newcomer Funeral Home in Brodhead, Wisconsin. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered their love, prayers, and support during this difficult time.
