Brodhead – Charlie Pax, age 61, of Brodhead and formerly of Belvidere, passed away at his home on December 18, 2019
Charlie was born on January 8, 1958 in Freeport, IL, the son of Roland and Evelyn (Schwoob) Pax. He married Annette Frederick on May 15, 1978 in Belvidere, IL.
Charlie attended Belvidere High School and was proud of his cross country teams many achievements. He loved music, with artists like Mark Farner and Grand Funk Railroad, he was a die hard Green Bay Packer fan and loved watching the Three Stooges. He also enjoyed collecting records and comic books, especially Batman comic books.
Charlie is survived by his wife, Annette Pax; 2 daughters, Stephanie Pax (Steven Fertitta) and Sarah Thorell (Double J Jeter); three grandchildren, Lily, Gabby and Izzy; his father, Roland Pax; a brother, Robert (Ann Marie) Pax; a sister, Pattie (Mark) Wiegertz; a special niece, Amy Moore and other nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Charlie was preceded in death by his mother and a son-in-law, Dan Thorell.
A Celebration of life gathering will be held at the DL Newcomer Funeral Home, 1105 E. 9th Avenue in Brodhead on Saturday, January 4, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Rose Catholic Church, 1005 West 2nd Avenue in Brodhead on Monday, January 6, 2019 at 10:00 AM with Father Moon officiating.
