Brodhead/Belvidere,IL – Dennis Paul Andersen, age 74, passed away on February 25, 2022 at the St. Elizabeth Manor in Footville, WI. Dennis was born on April 5, 1947 in Belvidere, IL the son of Dennis H. and Benita (Swanson) Andersen. Dennis enjoyed farming and worked on the family farm in Belvidere until 1993 before moving to Brodhead. Dennis was a former 4H leader and a member of the Boone County Farm Bureau. Dennis was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed watching old Elvis Presley and old country western movies. Dennis is survived by his four children, Tammy (John) Wakeley, Tanya (Randy) Shirel, Tim Andersen and Troy Andersen; 14 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; a sister, Pam (Jerry) Wade and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Diane Skodachek and a granddaughter, Brittany Wakeley in 1989. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the family and mailed to the DL Newcomer Funeral Home, PO Box 26, Brodhead WI 53520 and made out to either St. Elizabeth Manor or Marquardt Hospice Care. Graveside services will be held at the Highland Garden of Memories, 9800 IL Highway 76 in Belvidere IL on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 10:00 AM. A visitation will also take place at the DL Newcomer Funeral Home in Brodhead on Friday, March 4, 2022 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
