Hurbert "Hurb" J. Regenold

Hurbert �Hurb� J. Regenold, age 85, of Brodhead, passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2014, at Collinwood Elderly Care Home, Brodhead. He was born on March 5, 1929 in Fairbank, IA, the son of Joseph and Bessie (Lamb) Regenold. He married Marian Lawder on May 15, 1948 in Waterloo, IA. She passed away on October 20, 2012. Hurb farmed in Avon Township for many years. He loved gardening, bluegrass music, mowing his yard, John Deere tractors, watching rodeos, and the Packers. He is survived by his children, Sherry Gilbertson, David (Lisa) Regenold, Terry (Kathleen) Regenold, all of Brodhead, Doug (Leslie) Regenold, Beloit, WI, Jeri (Jackye) Regenold, Morristown, TN; three sisters, Ida Anderson, Waterloo, IA, Ag (Dale) Prine, Barron, WI, Bess (David) Babler, Phoenix, AZ; a brother, Reg (Don) Regenold, Madison, WI; eight grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a sister Alberta, a brother Ivan, and three grandchildren, Chad, Jonathon and Jesse. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, August 18, 2014, at the D.L. NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, BRODHEAD, WI. Burial will be in Avon Community Cemetery, Avon Township, WI. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m., Sunday, August 17, 2014, at the funeral home.
