Lyle G. Hilliard Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Lyle G. Hilliard, age 71, of Albany, formerly of Brodhead, passed away on September 13, 2014 at Park Valley Assisted Living, Albany, WI, following a long, courageous battle with cancer. He was born on August 31, 1943 in Monroe, WI, the son of Shirl and Hazel (Prien) Hilliard. He grew-up on a farm on Middle Juda Road and attended grade and high school in Juda, graduating in 1961. In September of 1963, Lyle and Sharon Anderson were married at the Juda Baptist Church. Lyle loved sports and was proud of being named to the �All Conference Football Team� his senior year. He enjoyed fishing, hunting grouse and pheasants. He also trained his own hunting dogs and enjoyed watching the Packers, Badgers and Brewers ball teams. Lyle worked for Green-Rock F.S. as a petroleum salesman for 18 years. He was later employed by Schwan Ice Cream Co. as a route salesman for 20 years. The last 5 years, he had a company car and worked in 4 states. Lyle enjoyed the visits from his friends, cousins, family, and spending time with his grandchildren He is survived by his special friend, Linda Carolan of Albany; a daughter, Kelly Blackford, Pulaski, WI and her children, Mitchell (Kate) and Allison Blackford, Mallory (Aaron) Lawniczak and their son Griffin; two sons, Robert Hilliard and his children, Justin, Jake and Jaelyn; Ryan (Robin) Hilliard and his daughter Madison and Robin�s children, Vanessa and Seyler Weeden, all of Brodhead; and two sisters, Betty Dunwiddie, Juda, WI, and Joyce Richardson, Monroe, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Sheri, a niece, Suzanne Sturdevant, three nephews, Curt Richardson, Jeff Frey and Michael Dunwiddie, and a brother-in-law, Roger Dunwiddie. A visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at the D.L. NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, BRODHEAD, WI. There will be no funeral service. Burial will be in Mt.
