Rosemary A. (Alberts) Jacobson

BRODHEAD - Rosemary A. Jacobson, age 74, Brodhead, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2009, at the Mercy Hospital, Janesville. She was born on February 5, 1935 in Newark, NJ, the daughter of Charles and Margaret (Lucase) Alberts. She married Robert T. Jacobson Sr. on August 27, 1951 in Newark, NJ. He passed away on May 8, 1988. Rosemary belonged to the United Methodist Church, Brodhead. She was involved with Safe Haven at the Brodhead Elementary School, and the Boy Scouts. She enjoyed bible study, bowling, and ice skating. She was a loving, caring, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother She is survived by her children, Patricia (Don) Clark, Robert (Kim) Jacobson, Alan Jacobson, Sherri Kundert, Kenneth (Tami) Jacobson, Nanette (Rick) Reed, all of Brodhead, Keith (Jodie) Jacobson, Oregon, a brother, David (Joanne) Alberts, Brick, NJ, nineteen grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Michael, in infancy, and two brothers, Al and Frank Alberts. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 4, 2009, at the United Methodist Church, Brodhead, with Rev. Steve Groves officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Brodhead. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 3, 2009, at the D.L. NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, BRODHEAD.
