Walter O. Clark Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Walter O. Clark, 86, of Brodhead WI, died peacefully Monday, November 3, 2014, at his home. He was born August 14, 1928, in Rock County WI, son of James Walter and Jesse Marion (Popanz) Clark. Walter was a 1946 graduate of Evansville High School. He served in the U.S. Army 88th Division in Africa and Italy in the post WWII occupation. He married LaVena (Dee) Tronnes on October 9, 1949 in Brodhead. Walter was an automobile mechanic, working for Condon Motors, Ties Motors, Walters� Motors and Bryden Motors. He also worked for many years as a part-time Brodhead Police Office, a special Green County Deputy, and after he retired drove a school bus. Walter was a devoted husband and a loving father to his children, grandchildren and great-grand children. He was always there when someone needed something fixed. Walter enjoyed going camping with his family in the Snoozer Croozer and went deer, bear, squirrel and rabbit hunting. He was a member of VFW 6858, Bicknell Masonic Lodge #94, the Brodhead United Methodist Church, a charter member of the Brodhead Jaycees and NRA. Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years, LaVena (Dee) Clark of Brodhead, two daughters, Sheryl Thorp and Denise Benton of Brodhead, two sons, Bradley (Gina) Clark and Andrew (Carrie Ryan) Clark of Beloit. Grandchildren Bekah (Josh) Wiser, Brynna, Braly and Braden of Evansville, Luke (Katie) Wolter, Olivia and Ella of Atlanta, GA, Emily (Zac) Jones of Oak Creek, WI, ReNee Mullen, Ellisa, Kylie and Jorrin of Brodhead, Nessa (Charles Smythe) Benton of Janesville, Almon (Amanda) Benton of Appleton, Mandy (Kevin) Jones, Tristan, Tyler and Savannah of Wilton, NC, Ian Clark of Lake Tahoe, NV and Devin Clark of Footville, Jason (Heidi Trombetta)Clark, Jace, Tristan, Scarlet of Monroe, Alexander (Holly Germann) Clark, Jayden of Brodhead, Joseph(Amanda Keen) Clark of Menominee Falls, sister Harriette Clark of Fort Atkinson and brother Robert Clark of McDonough GA. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, November 7, 2014, at the United Methodist Church, Brodhead, with Pastor Krystal Goodger officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Brodhead, WI, with military rites. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., Thursday, at the D.L. NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, BRODHEAD, WI, with a Masonic Service at 7 p.m. A memorial fund will be established.�
