Mason City, IL/ Brodhead – James Francis Krueger, age 77, passed away on June 2, 2020 while at the Mason City Nursing Home in Mason City, Illinois.
James was born on November 16, 1942 in Janesville, WI the son of Wilbur and Barbara (Diedrich) Krueger and raised by Fr. William Edward Krueger. He married Shirley Keehn on September 8, 1973 at the Janesville Bible Temple Church.
James retired after many years as a foreman in the public works department for the City of Springfield Illinois.
James is survived by his wife, Shirley; two children, Tammy (Ronald) Krueger and Terry (Deanna) Krueger; 2 grandchildren, Shelbie (Mike) Ramsey and Kaylee (Braiden) Smith; 4 great grandchildren, Laiden, Piper, Presley and Milo; 3 sisters, Debbie (John) Trewyn, Lori Green Popelka and Susan Metcalf and one brother, Don Krueger.
James was preceded in death by his parents, one granddaughter, Ashley Krueger and 9 siblings.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to James’s caregiver, Mary Jo Wright for the special care she provided.
A private family viewing and private graveside services will be held at a later date at the Greenwood Cemetery in Brodhead, Wisconsin.
