Mitchell Kenneth Lloyd Mikkelson passed away unexpectedly on April 1st, 2020 at the age of 41. He was born May 25th, 1978 in Beloit, WI. The son of Michael and Deborah Mikkelson. Mitchell married his soulmate Laura Mikkelson on April 30th, 2005. As husband and wife they loved the outdoors and to travel together. They shared the love of God and built their dream home together in Evansville, WI.
Mitchell had a love for sports, fostered animals, and received a second degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. He had a passion for cooking and sharing it with others. He was employed by Grande Cheese and formerly employed by Playstar and Stoughton Trailers, where he received recognition for five years of perfect attendance. Mitchell will be remembered for his contagious laughter and encouragement of others.
He was survived by his wife Laura (Mehaffey) Mikkelson, his parents Michael and Deborah (Sedig) Mikkelson, grandfather Kenneth Mikkelson, brother Michael "Mikey" (Ann Rosa) Mikkelson. Father and mother-in-law Allen and Donna Mehaffey, sister-in-laws Lisa Mehaffey, Ashley (Justin) Mehaffey Anderson, Amber (Scott) Miller; nephews and nieces Serena and Zackary Thompson, Maria and Dane Mikkelson, Harper Anderson; many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
Preceded in death by grandparents Joyce and Lloyd (Sedig), Betty Mikkelson, aunt Catherine (Mikkelson) Beggs, and brother Matthew Mikkelson.
A remembrance service has been scheduled for Saturday, August 8, 2020 by invite only. Invitations have been set to those accordingly. In the meantime please post to the Tribute Wall to share your fondest memories or condolences.
